🌱 Early Life & Education


Born on April 5, 1996, in Virajpet, a town in the Kodagu district of Karnataka, Rashmika hails from a Kodava family. She completed her schooling at Coorg Public School and pursued a bachelor's degree in Psychology, Journalism, and English Literature at M.S. Ramaiah College of Arts, Science, and Commerce in Bengaluru. Her foray into the limelight began in 2014 when she won the Clean & Clear Fresh Face contest, subsequently becoming the brand ambassador for the brand.  




🎬 Cinematic Debut & Rise to Fame


Rashmika's acting debut came with the 2016 Kannada film Kirik Party, which was both a critical and commercial success. She then ventured into Telugu cinema with Chalo (2018), but it was her role in Geetha Govindam (2018) opposite Vijay Deverakonda that catapulted her to stardom. The film's success earned her the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress – South.  


Her subsequent performances in films like Dear Comrade (2019), Sarileru Neekevvaru (2020), and Pushpa: The Rise (2021) solidified her position as a leading actress in South Indian cinema.
